My wife used to say I needed longer and relaxed weekends.

Before I had this job, my days would end way after dusk. Ending a work day at this new job had me uneasy the first weeks, I then looked for ways to fill in my days with other activities. Arriving home by 6:00 PM wasn’t my idea of a good day.

It took me three years to realize that rest is absolutely necessary and that only through it, anyone can get refreshed and ready for another working week.

During the last week of July, this year, my wife talked me into it again. I stayed in bed, read a book, listened to music, watched movies, checked my FB and enjoyed my family. Something I had long forgotten doing.

My weekends continue being like my last vacation week and, little by little I am regaining my strengths and wish to rally onto remodeling the house. (The old handyman has been gone for years).

I think it is time to stop thinking and start acting. I have been relaxed a bit too much now.
